Hello, Welcome to Aurora's Ballet Studio.
Aurora's Ballet Studio

Category: Brand design, advertising design.
Description: Self-created project for portfolio purpose that focused on brand identity for a fictional children's ballet studio.
Challenge: I needed to understand their branding and their niche market while also creating a company that felt and looked as real a possible.  I also needed to decide what their graphic design needs would be and then create them.
Solution: To understand their branding and their niche market, I researched ballet studios by visiting websites of ballet studios mainly in the DC area. I also looked at existing business cards, brochures, posters, logos, and photos of dancers, and since I would need to write my own content, I gathered information about ballet outfits, the class prices, and content.  Then, I created the identity of the studio.  It would be semi-elegant, playful, and fun.  The branding for their niche market would consist of the location of their studio, the studio space itself, the clothes the students wore, the teachers hired to teach ballet, and the class content and routine.  Their ideal customer would be multicultural girls and boys of upper middle class families, and families that wanted to introduce their children to ballet for the purpose of having fun, making friends, gaining confidence, and learning technique.  With this in mind, their design needs would be items to promote their business and contact their existing customers such as a logo, business card, brochure, posters advertising a future performance or classes, and specifically-designed business stationery, envelopes, stamps, and stickers.  Citations of the images can be found below.
